Whispering Pines gives the family somewhere to gather without putting the entire holiday on one person’s home.
The cabin sleeps up to 8 across two private queen bedrooms, a twin-bed loft, and an additional queen sleeping space. For larger or multigenerational families, the optional private RV Guest Suite adds private space for 2 more.

Our covered waterfront pergola gives you another place to gather, with an outdoor table seating 8, string lights overhead, and the pond just beyond it.
On a beautiful East Texas fall afternoon, bring Thanksgiving dinner outside. Or have the main meal indoors and head to the pergola afterward for pie, coffee, drinks, and conversation as the sun goes down.
Either way, nobody gets stuck at the kids’ table in the hallway.
What Thanksgiving could look like here
Wake up slowly with good coffee and mist over the pond.
Somebody starts the turkey while the kids head outside. A few people wander down to the dock. Someone else takes a walk through the pines.
Eventually, everyone finds their way back to the cabin.
Thanksgiving dinner. Seconds. Pie. More pie.
Then nobody has to pile into the car and drive home.
Head outside instead. Walk off dinner on the trails. Drop a fishing line from the dock. Gather around the fire. Watch the stars come out from the hot tub.
And when everyone finally calls it a night, you’re already home for the weekend.

We spent evenings around the campfire making s'mores, and the loft quickly became their favorite place in the cabin. There was so much to do that we never got bored, but it also felt incredibly relaxing. It was one of those trips that just felt a little magical. We made so many great family memories, and before we even left we were already talking about when we could come back. We can't recommend it enough!

Holiday dates can book well in advance, so we recommend checking availability early if you’re coordinating several households.

Maximum occupancy: 10 with the optional RV Guest Suite
Privacy: The cabin, pond, trails, and property are exclusively yours during your stay.
The optional private RV Guest Suite is particularly useful for grandparents, another couple, or family members who appreciate having their own bathroom and private space while remaining close to the gathering.
The optional Polaris Ranger EV is also available for adult drivers who would like to explore more of the property’s designated roads and trails.

What to Know Before Booking
Absolutely. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with full-size appliances, cookware, serving essentials, and many everyday cooking basics already provided. There is indoor dining for 8 as well as covered pergola dining for 8 overlooking the pond.
The main cabin sleeps up to 8 guests. Our optional private RV Guest Suite sleeps 2 more, bringing total overnight capacity to 10.
Yes. The six-person hot tub is open year-round and is especially nice in the Fall.
Yes, the Ranger EV is available as an optional add-on. Adult drivers can use it to explore designated roads and trails across the property, subject to the Ranger rules and operating conditions.
Yes. Your group has exclusive use of the cabin, pond, trails, and property during your stay. The RV is never rented separately, so there won’t be another group staying alongside you.
Yes, when conditions allow. Firewood, fire starters, and a complimentary s’mores kit are provided. Fires must remain inside the designated fire pit and follow property fire-safety guidelines.
Fishing, hiking, outdoor games, stargazing, exploring the property with their family, and simply having room to be outside. Fishing equipment and several non-motorized boats are provided. Children must be supervised around the pond, hot tub, boats, and other water features.
